Mobile Service Offices Bring Support to Disabled Veterans Nationwide

Sheila Vitale serves as a pastor and teacher at Living Epistles Ministries, a teaching ministry in Port Jefferson Station, New York, that publishes and distributes Christian literature. Beyond her work at the ministry, Sheila Vitale supports a number of community nonprofit organizations that include Disabled American Veterans. This organization provides lifetime support for disabled veterans and administers Mobile Service Offices (MSOs) to reach veterans across the country.

Mobile Service Offices operate as offices on wheels and bring support and education to disabled veterans who experience difficulty reaching veteran service organizations. The MSOs primarily travel to smaller towns and rural communities to educate disabled veterans and their families about the benefits and services available to them.

A team of Department and Service Officers assist disabled veterans with filing and winning benefit claims under local, state, and federal laws. These officers also aid with evidence development, the completion of necessary forms, and a variety of other benefits-related services.
