PRESS RELEASE #7

FEED THE CHILDREN - HELPING CHILDREN AROUND THE WORLD

A pastor and teacher, Sheila R. Vitale founded the publishing company Living Epistles Ministries in 1988. Sheila R. Vitale is also committed to helping out people in need and supports organizations such as World Vision International and Feed the Children.

Founded in 1979, Feed the Children is dedicated to ensuring that no child in the world goes hungry. Based on the values of accountability, collaboration, and dignity, the organization works to identify the roots of childhood hunger and ways to address each issue individually to eradicate hunger entirely. Along with its international programs, Feed the Children has a full spectrum of programs designed for the United States.

In addition to its partnership with the Homeless Education Literacy Program to give backpacks of school supplies to promote education preparedness, Feed the Children also provides non-food essentials at every regular distribution event. However, the organization’s primary services are its domestic food programs, which delivers millions of pounds of food each year to all 50 states. During domestic food distribution, Feed the Children works with local food banks to give each family a box packed with enough food for a week, and stores nonperishable items for later.
