WORLD VISION OFFERS INTERNATIONAL AID
A pastor, teacher, and prolific author, Sheila R. Vitale is the founder of Living Epistles Ministries (LEM) and Christ-Centered Kabbalah (CCK). Through her websites, Sheila R. Vitale offers free access to Judeo-Christian literature and iterates the connections between Judaism and Christianity. Both LEM and CCK donate notable percentages of their incomes to charities, including the broadly influential Christian humanitarian organization World Vision.
Founded in the 1950s by a man named Bob Pierce, World Vision spent its earliest days promoting child sponsorship and spreading awareness of poverty in Asia. Currently, the organization works with more than 100 countries worldwide to lend aid to those impacted by natural disasters, poverty, health crises, injustice, and other systemic issues.
As a Christian organization, World Vision strives to promote transformation in human beings by specifically caring for the poor and oppressed. Some of the methods used to assist people in need include offering emergency relief, partnering with churches, and increasing public awareness.
