Family Radio - Spreading the Word of God

The founder of teaching ministry Living Epistles Ministries (LEM), Sheila R. Vitale is a scholar and lecturer as well as a TV, movie, and theater critic who has authored over 40 books that are available on Amazon. Pastor Sheila Vitale, who overcame an incurable and deadly disease in 1991, manages the overall operations of LEM. Every year, LEM donates a portion of its income to charitable entities such as Family Radio.

Founded in 1959, Family Radio spreads the Word of God through a network of 53 AM and FM stations and 49 translators across the United States. It also spreads its message across the globe via the internet. The organization offers hymns and a daily playlist of songs as well as programs and podcasts.

President and general manager Thomas Evens hosts a talk program, Issues & Answers, to answer questions regarding Family Radio’s ministry and its teachings. Regular programs include Before the Dawn hosted by Michael Burris, who during the day’s darkest hours, offers serenity and comfort by providing listeners with devotionals, inspirational music, and scripture readings. During the weekly Good News Express, a one-hour program for children, Mr. Conductor takes listeners to five interesting train stops to meet new, captivating friends.
